Stiles: Ford’s Conservatives have learned nothing from Greenbelt corruption scandal

QUEEN’S PARK - Marit Stiles, Leader of the Official Opposition NDP, released the following statement in response to news of a new Ford government scheme to bulldoze environmental legislation, ignore the duty to consult Indigenous communities, and pave over more prime farmland:

“It seems the Conservatives learned nothing from their Greenbelt corruption scandal. From Ontario Place to ServiceOntario, Ford and the Conservatives are mired in scandal and under RCMP investigation. They’ve been forced to backtrack on nearly every piece of legislation.

We have yet to see to see this legislation but given their abysmal track record, it’s hard to trust anything the Conservatives do. What are they trying to pull?”
